Rotary Clubs in the Tri-Cities (Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, and Coquitlam Sunrise) are supporting children and tackling food insecurity through support for the Rotary Starfish Program, the Share Society (which operates our local food bank), Food Link Society, and Kidsport Tri-Cities.

The Starfish Program is a weekend food security initiative that provides boxes filled with nutritious meals to school children who rely on school breakfast or lunch programs during the week. This ensures they have food over the weekend and can come to school on Monday ready to learn. Local Rotarians deliver food to SD43 schools on a weekly basis.

The SHARE Food Bank provides direct food support to supplement the diets of hundreds of individuals and families each week in the Tri-Cities. We believe people should have access to healthy and nutritious food where they live and in a dignified manner.

Food Link Society leads the way in food recovery by rescuing surplus food, distributing it to those in need, and advocating for sustainable solutions that eliminate food waste and hunger, thus enhancing food security for vulnerable populations.

Kidsport Tri-Cities supports children who need financial assistance with sport registration fees and equipment costs. We believe that the power of sport participation promotes the development of children's social, mental and physical well being. Through increasing access to quality sport programs, KidSport strengthens communities across Canada. 

Local Rotary Clubs are committed to addressing these community needs. Funds from this 50/50 fundraiser will go directly to supporting children and the thousands of individuals needing food assistance each month. Let's help our community- let's go 50/50!
