Horton came to the Sanctuary as part of the Milk River Rescue, which came after Alberta’s largest dog seizure in Alberta’s history. Over 200 dogs were rescued, including five wolfdogs who suffered from severe neglect and a complete lack of socialization. Horton was one of these wolfdogs and was incredibly shy and reserved when he first arrived. But with time, proper care, and a place to call home, we have been lucky enough to see his personality begin to shine! While he can still be a bit timid at first, he’s actually a playful, goofy wolfdog who has gained confidence thanks to his packmates.

Not only does Horton have a unique personality, but he also has a very distinguished look to him as he has Irish Wolfhound in him!

Horton had a very rough start to life, but we are happy that he now has a safe, loving and permanent home at the Sanctuary. This raffle helps ensure we can continue to rescue and care for wolfdogs in need.
