Special Olympics is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children, youth, and adults with intellectual disabilities. 

Each year our Sackville-Bedford region sends athletes to compete in the Provincial Games. This July we are heading to St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish to compete.

We are running this 50/50 to offset the cost for each athlete and coach. The costs associated with Provincial Games include transportation, accommodations, meals, and more. If we hit our target of $14,000 our athletes won't have to pay to attend. 

 “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me brave in the attempt.”

This is our athletes' motto as they participate in each event. Their smiles and infectious enthusiasm are evident in every race or game that they are part of, and when they get to join in the dance on Saturday night they still have the energy to boogie until the lights come up.
