Shelter Movers Nova Scotia is celebrating its fifth anniversary and we are excited to announce our online 50/50 anniversary fundraiser in recognition of the work we do in the community.

Shelter Movers is a national charity that provides moving and storage services at no cost to individuals and families fleeing abuse. Since its inception five years ago, Shelter Movers Nova Scotia has been instrumental in supporting survivors of gender-based violence in in HRM, South Shore, Colchester-Cumberland, and the Annapolis Valley. Through partnerships with over 25 local community agencies and many local businesses, the organization has successfully facilitated over 750 moves, offering a lifeline to those seeking refuge from abusive environments.

Through our work, Shelter Movers Nova Scotia removes the existing logistical, financial and safety barriers that survivors may face when fleeing abuse. Funds raised by the raffle will directly support survivors in the Nova Scotia community.
