Rotary clubs in the Tri-Cities (Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam) are tackling food insecurity through support for the Rotary Starfish Program and the Share Society, which operates our local food bank.

The Starfish Program is a weekend food security initiative that provides boxes filled with nutritious meals to school children who rely on school breakfast or lunch programs during the week. This ensures they have food over the weekend and can come to school on Monday ready to learn. Local Rotarians deliver food to SD43 schools on a weekly basis.

The SHARE Food Bank provides direct food support to supplement the diets of hundreds of individuals and families each week in the Tri-Cities. We believe people should have access to healthy and nutritious food where they live and in a dignified manner.

With the increasing cost of living in our community, more and more people are needing to turn to programs like Starfish and the food bank for help.

Local Rotary Clubs are committed to addressing this community need. Funds from this 50/50 fundraiser will go directly to supporting the thousands of individuals needing food assistance each month. Let's help our community- let's go 50/50!
