are selling 50/50 lottery tickets online where proceeds will support Philae Shriners’
activities.
When you play our 50/50 online lottery, you
have a chance to win a cash prize and at the same time, support Philae Shriners
activities and our incredible work being done for our communities.

December 11, 2020 to November 30, 2021

· The draw tickets will be sold using online
software and will be delivered primarily to the buyer’s stated email address.
· Entrants must be Nova Scotia residents and at
least 19 years of age.
· It is the sole responsibility of the ticket
buyer to ensure that they receive the correct number of tickets based on the
successful financial transaction with the online software.
· Ticket package prices are as follows: 1 for $5,
3 for $10, 20 for $20, and 100 for $50.
· The 50/50 monthly pot size will be posted to
Facebook and Philae’s website: https://www.philaeshriners.org/
· The monthly Lottery will close on the 27th
of each month at 11:59PM (the “Closing”); the final Closing will be October 27,
2021.
· The draws will take place monthly at 11:00AM,
live on Facebook and/or at Philae Shriners Temple, 2 (two) business days after
Closing. The draw dates and times will be publicized.
· The draw will take place with a
series of numbered balls, with each set randomly producing a digit which placed
together generate the winning ticket number.
· The winner will be notified
by telephone and/or email that same evening.
· The winner will receive 50% of the pot. A
payment will be made by Philae Shriners cheque to the winner. The winner must be
present at Philae Shriners Temple (or a mutually agreeable location), must have
the winning ticket in hand, and must have valid identification to claim the
prize. The winner will be asked to agree – but not obliged - (i) to have their
picture taken and/or (ii) to allow their image and name to be included in
future advertising on any medium.
· The winner will have 90 days, effective from the
original draw date, to claim the prize. If the prize is not claimed within 90
days another draw using the same entrants will be made.
· The
Members, volunteers, partners, retailers, sponsors, and other organizations
associated with the Philae Shriners — including employees, spouses, and
other direct family members or individuals residing in the same household
— are eligible to play the raffle. We believe that strict security and transparency allow the draws to be
random and fair.
·
If you forget or lose your ticket numbers, your unique numbers are kept
by Philae Shriners; please contact us by telephone, email, or by regular mail
and we will do our best to retrieve them.
· Neither Philae Shriners, nor any of its
members, Board of Directors, or subcontractors may be held liable for any
financial loss a player may incur as a result of playing the online raffle.
· Philae Shriners Online Lottery players assume
all financial responsibility for costs and other expenses they incur while
playing the online raffle.
· Tickets purchased may be refunded only prior
to the deadline for ticket sales. On the other
hand, winnings are not taxed either, so you get to keep 100% of what you win
· With the prior written approval of the Executive
Director, Service Nova Scotia & Municipal Relations, Alcohol & Gaming
Division, Philae Shriners reserves the right to:

cancel a draw
should the situation warrant it. Philae Shriners will return all monies paid
