Niagara Jazz Festival is an award-winning not-for-profit music festival dedicated to celebrating jazz and world music throughout the year with a summer festival in June. Now in its 11th season, the festival aims to inspire, educate, and develop jazz audiences by combining live music with an immersive Niagara experience: food, wine, culture, attractions, and natural wonders. Niagara Jazz Festival also hosts LIVE.LEARN.JAZZ educational events that include Master Class workshops and the popular JAZZ 4 the AGES Youth Competition - keeping jazz music alive for generations to come. Funds raised by this raffle will support Niagara Jazz Festival’s LIVE.LEARN.JAZZ: JAZZ 4 the AGES Youth Program and Master Class Series. LIVE.LEARN.JAZZ was created in 2015 as a way to mentor and empower youth in the Niagara community and beyond, and to inspire young people to get involved. Under this umbrella is our program: JAZZ 4 the AGES, an annual competition that is open to youth in the age groups: 23 and under. Auditions are curated by a panel of professional jazz musicians with expertise in the following instruments: Piano, guitar, vocal, saxophone, trumpet, drums, organ, producing and more. JAZZ 4 the AGES has provided learning and performance opportunities for various young and upcoming musicians. A series of Master Class workshops are also made available for students and musicians hosted by Ridley College and featuring top musicians from around the globe.
