Our mission is to save homeless cats and kittens from death. To provide necessary veterinary care to rescued cats. To find forever homes for abandoned and stray cats. To provide TNR for shy cats when financially able.
We need your support in order to help. The proceeds from this raffle will go 100% to vet bills. This includes spays, neuters, vaccines, etc, but also more substantial bills such as amputations like Cooper, Entropian eye surgery like Amiri, and serious medical needs like Treasure. 2024 has been a particularly tough year with serious injury and illnesses to a few of the rescued. Vetting is not cheap and even with our rescue rate it remains a big part of where our donations go. We also feed 200 cats and kittens so food of course is a large part of our expenditures. Your purchase of a ticket(s) would be very much appreciated.
Please follow us on Facebook. We look forward to seeing you. If you are looking for a cat or kitten to adopt or if you would like to foster (we need fosters so badly) please go to our website at www.thelastchancecatranch.com. We also desperately need volunteers to help with care of the cats. Applications are also on the website.
We have included a few of the cats that came into care needing a lot of help. All five have now been adopted into loving homes, which, for us, is the name of the game.
Please note: Raffle tickets are NOT eligible for a tax receipt per CRA rules.
TREASURE: This sweet kitten was rescued along with siblings from a colony that was neglected. She had to have both eyes, removed, two siblings had one eye each removed and one passed away. She spent a great deal of time in hospital as the colony had a blood parasite that meant she struggled to have her eyes heal. With perseverance and her tenacity and her will to live she made a full recovery, as did her family. She was adopted into a family with another blind cat and is thriving. This is where your raffle dollars go.
COOPER: Cooper was found with a mangled leg, and in extremely poor condition. He had his leg amputated, and good food, vet care, neutered, etc., and was adopted into a loving home.
AMIRI: Amiri lived his entire life rough. He fought for his survival. When he came to us, he was shut down, injured, sad, lonely and had given up. He also had Entropian eyes (where eyelid rolls in so hair is on the inside and rubs the eye). We got him the care he needed, gave him loads and loads of love and he has blossomed into this sweet, gentle boy. He has been adopted.
MASAGO: Masago was in very bad shape when he came to us. Massive infections, broken teeth, and he had been shot. Smelled awful. He was extremely shy. It took some time, but he recovered fully. He was adopted into a loving home and by all accounts is doing awesome.
TUSCANY: Tuscany lived his entire life homeless and fighting for his very existence. He was emaciated, sick and full of worms. Tender loving care, medical intervention and good food and he blossomed into a loving sweet boy. He has been adopted.
