Heartland Hospice Giving Tuesday 50/50 Fundraiser!

Heartland Hospice Moose Jaw Inc. is a community-based, not-for-profit charity led by a group of committed members who are working to establish dedicated Hospice Palliative Care for Moose Jaw and the surrounding area. In 2018, through the collaborative efforts of Heartland Hospice Moose Jaw Inc. and the Saskatchewan Health Authority, one hospice bedroom was created in the East Wing of Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw. This room was renovated to provide a spacious room with across-the-hall access to a private family room, private washroom, and kitchen area. Through the large windows, occupants can view the Serenity Garden where the patient and their family can access nature’s therapeutic powers directly and indirectly. The intent is to offer the patient and their family a space where they can benefit physically, mentally, and spiritually at a very vulnerable time in their life journey.

Currently, there is only ONE hospice room to support Moose Jaw and the surrounding area. We are fundraising to:

• Create, furnish, and decorate 3 Hospice Palliative rooms

• Renovate, furnish, and decorate a Family Room complete with library resources/playpen/activities for children

• Renovate, furnish, and adapt the existing hospice room into a Sacred Space accessible to all of Pioneer Lodge

• Continue with the development of the Serenity Garden

• Create a private Family Access Door into the hospice

Ticket sales will run until Midnight on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

The draw will be conducted by Random Number Generator in Grant Hall Hotel at 401 Main St N, Moose Jaw, SK at 7:15 pm, December 5th, 2024. We will only be drawing one prize. The purchaser does not need to be present to win. We will livestream the event on Facebook, and we will have a minimum of 2 witnesses personally in attendance.

The winner will receive 50% of ticket sales up to a maximum $25,000 prize on $50,000 in ticket sales.
