The Golden District Rod and Gun Club is fundraising to support our initiative to collar and study 30 Rocky Mountain elk in the area surrounding Golden BC. Funds raised from this event are planned to offset the cost of member involvement in the project, the purchase of collars and the costs associated with the capture. The goals of this collaring project are to better understand and locate important habitats, establish confident herd populations and demographics, investigate limiting factors and build a stronger understanding of the general health of elk in the North Trench wildlife management units.
