Meet Neos – our February Raffle Kitty!

Neos (meaning new in Greek) had a rough start to her new life. She was left behind when her former owner moved out of their apartment. Neos was all alone - terrified, stressed, and hungry.

The landlord quickly noticed this unexpected resident and got in contact with our shelter for help. The main issue was that no one could get near Neos. She was scared and would disappear at the first sign of humans.

Working with someone in the trapping community, we were able to set up a live trap with a webcam to track her routines. After 20 days alone, numerous cans of food as bait, and a whole lot of patience, Neos was safely trapped and brought into the shelter.

She’s since been receiving lots of food, much-needed veterinary care, and plenty of love. We’re currently working to help her re-learn her trust in humans and soon, she’ll be offered a new start to life.
