All Funds raised are used for our programs like Respite Care, Kids First Camp and The Missing Piece Project.
Camp Kids First is a summer day camp for children with autism and other disabilities and disorders in our region. Campers participate in activities that promote social skills, play and communication.
Social-Respite Youth Groups is a Social Respite Program partially funded by United Way-Fort McMurray. The Program focuses on learning and practicing friendship skills in group activities. These activities are held on a variety of times and days for children ages 5 to 17, they can attend outings like:
The Missing Pieces Program is a resource intended to promote and educate others about Autism Spectrum Disorder. It will cover topics of understanding ASD, acceptance, how to assist and include others by understanding differences. Each kit will have activities designed to promote inclusion, understanding and acceptance and will be tailored to the specific user group.
With Covid and limitations of fundraising our group is falling short to maintain all of our programming and operations.
